BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP Being part of a society of sports medicine physicians recognized for their expertise and leadership. AMSSM Members receive reduced registration fees at all AMSSM courses including the Annual Meeting that presents the latest innovations and advancements in sports medicine. On-line journal access to: Clinical Journal of Sport Medicine – official journal of the AMSSM (not available to Student Members). British Journal of Sports Medicine – (not available to Student Members). Optional Benefit: All members (excluding Students) can pay an additional $100/year above their membership fee to purchase a print subscription (six bi-monthly issues) of the Clinical Journal of Sport Medicine. AMSSM Members are eligible to submit an abstract(s) for consideration to present at the Annual Meeting. AMSSM Members are eligible to apply for various grants and awards provided by the AMSSM Foundation. Membership Certificate. The opportunity to nominate other physicians to membership. On-line AMSSM Referral Listserv to locate sports medicine physicians in other areas. On-line Sports Medicine Fellows Listserv (AMSSM Fellows only) Student Members Only: can participate in the MSIG (a national medical student interest group lead by AMSSM Student Members) that offers webinars and opportunity for Student Members to serve as a MSIG Officer.
