Congratulations to Co-principal investigators Drs. John Leddy, Christina Master and William Meehan on the successful completion of their 2017 AMSSM CRN $300,000 Research Grant: “Sub-symptom aerobic exercise therapy to improve recovery from acute sport-related concussion: a randomized controlled trial.”
Key findings suggest that prescribing sub-symptom threshold physical activity shortly after an athlete sustains a concussion can accelerate recovery from a sports related concussion and reduce the risk of delayed recovery. The investigators recently published their primary findings in The Lancet Child & Adolescent Health.
On behalf of the AMSSM Research Committee, we are pleased to announce the three recipients of the 2021-2022 AMSSM Young Investigator Awards.
Congratulations to all three recipients!
