BECOME A RESIDENT MEMBER

Resident Physicians currently in an accredited allopathic or osteopathic residency program with a strong interest in sports medicine. Resident members may not serve on the Board and may not vote in Elections.

Annual Dues fee of $150.00 (based on calendar year – January through December)

What type of residency should I choose to be eligible for primary care sports medicine fellowships?
    An applicant should evaluate their interests and goals for the future when they choose a residency. A person interested in sports medicine can do a residency in family medicine, pediatrics, internal medicine, emergency medicine and physical medicine and rehabilitation. Remember that your primary care training should be your priority.

  • Receive AMSSM Newsletter, The Sideline Report – quarterly electronic publication with the latest information on what is happening throughout the sports medicine profession.
  • Receive AMSSM Newsletter, the Rookie Report – quarterly electronic publication with pertinent information for Resident and Student members.

  • On-line AMSSM Referral Listserv to locate sports medicine physicians in other areas.
