Wrap It Up And Place It On Ice - Page #3

Lab Studies:
Ultrasound of the left hip revealed a large, hypoechoic lesion between the subcutaneous fat and the underlying muscle from the greater trochanter to the adductors Case Photo #5 . There was no visible evidence of encapsulation, loculation, or air fluid levels. Underlying muscle was normal and there was no obvious cortical disruption to the femur and acetabulum. A confirmatory MRI revealed a 17cmX19cmX1.5cm(484.5cm3) fluid collection of the interfacial planes without evidence of underlying fracture.
