X-ray of the right shoulder (Neutral, Grashey, trans-scapular Y, and axillary views) showed no acute fracture or dislocation of the right shoulder. A small rounded sclerotic lesion projecting within the right glenoid was noted, likely a bone island.

MRI without contrast of the chest with focus on the brachial plexus showed a subacute right first rib fracture with remodeling and surrounding edema involving the inferior aspects of the brachial plexus in the region of the brachial plexus divisions as it courses by the fracture.
