Something To Shoulder: A Case Of Abnormal Shoulder Range Of Motion In An Adolescent - Page #3

Lab Studies:
Creatinine phosphokinase elevated to 561 and genetic testing positive for 4q35 deletion consistent with facioscapulohumeral dystrophy (FSHD) type 1.

Other Studies:
X-ray of the thoracic spine demonstrated maintained thoracic kyphosis, vertebral body heights, and disc spaces without any fractures or dislocations.

X-ray of the right shoulder was remarkable for rotation of the right scapula, but otherwise no fractures or dislocations. The glenohumeral and acromioclavicular joint spaces are maintained.

EMG was ordered. However, Neurology recommended deferring it and for the patient to undergo genetic testing, as it would be the most definitive.
