Lab Studies: Wound culture: Positive growth of MSSA and enterococcus Viral culture: Negative for HSV, VZV KOH: Negative Tzanck smear: Negative HSV 1/2 (serum): Negative Consultations: Dermatology was consulted after the initial evaluation by the Family Medicine inpatient team while in emergency department.
