Wound culture: Positive growth of MSSA and enterococcus

Viral culture: Negative for HSV, VZV

KOH: Negative

Tzanck smear: Negative

HSV 1/2 (serum): Negative

Consultations:
Dermatology was consulted after the initial evaluation by the Family Medicine inpatient team while in emergency department. Dermatology worked closely with the Family Medicine inpatient team during the entire inpatient and outpatient course.
