Lab Studies: Comprehensive metabolic panel, Complete Blood Count with differential, and Iron studies unremarkable except as below: ALT 158 U/L (elevated) and AST 64 U/L (elevated) Serum Iron - 204 mcg/dL (elevated) Transferrin - 963 ng/dL (elevated) Iron Saturation - 92% (elevated) Uroporphyrins 1167 nmol/mmol creatinine (elevated) Other Studies: Allergy testing - negative Lesion biopsy - subepidermal blister with rare dyskeratotic keratinocytes, mild lymphocytic infiltrate and red blood cell extravasation FibroScan - liver stiffness (8.5 kPa) was above normal Genetic testing for C282Y mutation - positive for a homozygous C282Y HFE mutation Consultations: Hematology Click here to continue.
