Oncologic orthopedic surgeon - Agreed with the diagnosis of myositis ossificans. The surgeon advised against surgical resection given history of keloid formation with scars and calcific healing. The need and importance of compliance with formal physical therapy was reinforced. Follow up scheduled in 6 months with plan to repeat x-rays at that time.
