A Complicated Case Of Left Shoulder Pain - Page #3

Lab Studies:
XR SHOULDER: Negative
US SHOULDER: Possible full thickness tear of subscapularis tendon; partial thickness tear and calcific tendinopathy in supraspinatus tendon.
MRI SHOULDER: Intact rotator cuff; trace subacromial deltoid bursal edema; trace fluid within subscapularis recess.
MRI CERVICAL SPINE: Degenerative discogenic changes; osteophytes with mild bilateral neural foraminal narrowing at C5-6; posterior disc osteophyte complexes at C5-6 and C6-7; no nerve root stenosis or impingement.
EMG: Subacute to chronic denervation in multiple muscles of the left upper extremity; potential polyradiculopathy from C5-T1 sparing C6. Changes support a Parsonage-Turner-type picture with involvement of multiple peripheral nerves forming the brachial plexus.
