X-ray of the left knee and hip Case Photo #1showed a lucent area along the epiphyseal plate of the greater trochanter. He received an MRI of the hip to evaluate the etiology of the lucency. The MRI showed a well-circumscribed lucent lesion adjacent to the trochanteric physis.
