X-ray of the left knee and hip Case Photo #1 showed a lucent area along the epiphyseal plate of the greater trochanter. He received an MRI of the hip to evaluate the etiology of the lucency. The MRI showed a well-circumscribed lucent lesion adjacent to the trochanteric physis. There was evidence of edema surrounding the lesion and which most likely represented a sub-acute abscess (Brodie's abscess) vs. Chondroblastoma Case Photo #2 , Case Photo #3 , Case Photo #4 , Case Photo #5
