The CRN Leadership Committee is comprised of 7 members: the CRN chair, AMSSM Research Committee chair, an AMSSM Board of Directors at-large member, a non-AMSSM member, and three at-large AMSSM member positions with at least one senior and one junior AMSSM member. The current opening is for a junior or senior at-large member. We are especially interested in applications from members with a community practice background.
We strive to build a team that reflects the diversity of the community we serve and encourage applications from traditionally underrepresented groups including, but not limited to, women, visible minorities, Indigenous peoples, people identifying as LGBTQ+, veterans, and people with disabilities.
To apply for the member at-large CRN Leadership Committee position, please submit the following application materials to AMSSM Reserarch Program Manager Sarah Sund. The deadline for applications is Friday, December 16, 2022.
The AMSSM Collaborative Research Network invites members to attend the 2023 Research Summit focused on health disparities in sports medicine (#SportsMed4ALL) on Friday, April 28, 2023, in Phoenix, AZ.
To encourage participation in this event, the AMSSM CRN will award ten travel stipends ($1,500 each) for members identifying with underserved populations. Members with research interests or experience in the area of health disparities are specifically encouraged to apply. Award winners will also have an opportunity to serve as small group leaders during Summit breakout sessions.
Applications now close on December 16th (extended deadline). Awardees will be announced January 16, 2023. For further information about the travel scholarships and how to apply, click here. Please send any questions to AMSSM Research Program Manager Sarah Sund.
