Application submission has now ended for the 2021 Class of AMSSM Fellows. New Fellows will be announced to the AMSSM membership after the first of the year and honored at the 2021 Annual Meeting.

AMSSM CRN seeks proposals from AMSSM members that focus on evaluating the knowledge, attitudes and beliefs of the toolkit itself or address safe & healthy youth sport participation topics more broadly that are presented within the Play.Stay.Thrive Toolkit.
2021 Youth Sport Community Engagement Awards ($20,000): Deadline July 15
We are asking AMSSM members to partner with organizations within their communities to (1) disseminate and share the Play.Stay.Thrive toolkit and messages contained within it & (2) promote healthy and safe youth sport participation for all kids. The intent of these awards is to support members in their commitment to interact with their local communities & community organizations through sport - including underserved and underrepresented populations. These are not research awards.
The brochure and online registration are now available for the 2021 Hybrid AMSSM Fellows Research and Leadership Conference, to be held July 22-25 at Sheraton Downtown Denver Hotel and online for those who attend virtually. This conference is only available to sports medicine fellows and features in-person and virtual attendance options.

AMSSM members Joseph Congeni, MD and William Meehan III, MD, contributed to a PBS documentary that is being aired on 387 stations across the country in fall 2013.
THE SMARTEST TEAM™: Making High School Football Safer is an hour-long documentary showing how football programs and athletes can reduce concussions and their effects by playing smarter. The film follows a high school football team in Oklahoma during the 2012 season to look at steps they are taking to safely manage the growing concussion epidemic.
