Application submission will open for the 2023 Class of AMSSM Fellows in early September. New Fellows will be announced to the AMSSM membership after the first of the year and honored at the 2023 Annual Meeting.
Applications for the FAMSSM Designation will be available on an annual basis. Please contact Ellen Glasgow with any questions regarding the FAMSSM application.

AMSSM Young Investigator Research Grant Awards
(3 grants - $5,000/yr)
The purpose of the AMSSM Foundation Young Investigator's Research Grant Awards is to foster original scientific investigations by members of AMSSM in the early stages of their careers. A young investigator is defined as 5 years or less since completion of sports medicine fellowship training plus current AMSSM Fellowship and Resident members. Resident members may apply as the principal investigator but must have at least one full AMSSM member listed as a co-investigator at the time of application. Grants will have a maximum of $5,000 per award, and members can only receive the grant once. The 2022 request for proposals (RFP) can be accessed here. Deadline: October 7, 2022
AMSSM Foundation Research Grant Awards
(2 grants - $25,000/yr)
The purpose of the AMSSM Foundation Research Grant Awards is to foster original scientific investigations by members of AMSSM. To be eligible, the primary investigator must be an AMSSM member. Grants will have a maximum of $25,000 per award. The 2022 request for proposals (RFP) can be accessed here. Deadline: November 4, 2022
