Patient Presentation:
A nineteen year old male, who is a Division I Cross Country athlete presented for return to play (RTP) clearance following SARS-CoV-2 infection (COVID-19). He was diagnosed with infection via routine team screen. Symptoms at initial presentation were one day of mild sore throat. He underwent a ten day isolation period, but had no other symptoms. At his RTP clinic visit he denied any symptoms, including no active or prior fever, chills, chest pain, shortness of breath, peripheral edema, or syncope. Despite having been instructed otherwise, the patient reported running three miles daily on his own during isolation, including the morning of evaluation.

Physical Exam:
Vitals: Temperature: 97.7F; Blood Pressure 114 mmHg/58 mmHg; Heart Rate 63 beats per minute; Respiratory Rate 12 breaths per minute; Pulse Oxygen 97% on Room Air
General: Awake and Oriented x4, no acute distress
Cardiovascular: Regular, rate and rhythm, no murmurs, gallops, or rubs; 2+ peripheral pulses with no peripheral edema
Respiratory: Clear to auscultation bilaterally, no wheezing, rales, or rhonchi
Abdomen: Soft, non-distended, non-tender to palpation; no bruits or masses noted
