Diagnostic ultrasound revealed diffusely thickened, hypoechoic, disorganized collagen with suture extending from the gastroc-soleus musculotendinous junction to the calcaneus insertion.

Left ankle MRI: Case Photo #1 Case Photo #2 chronic thickening of the mid and distal Achilles tendon without a tear. Suture anchors were present in the posterior calcaneus at the Achilles tendon insertion. No bursitis. Kager's fat pad was normal.
