Lab Studies:
Normal vitamin D and calcium levels

Other Studies:
Radiographs including left rib series show an incidental right cervical rib without fracture Case Photo #3 .
MRI thoracic spine demonstrates a nondisplaced fracture of the left 3rd rib immediately behind the left transverse process Case Photo #4 .
Follow up CT shows some bony bridging in the superior aspect of the rib, consistent with a partial nonunion Case Photo #5 .
The bone scan at 12 months showed faint radiotracer uptake over the area of the healing fracture suggesting near complete healing Case Photo #6 .
Follow up CT at 18 months showed significant interval healing with a minimally apparent fracture plane Case Photo #7 .
