Left lower extremity duplex ultrasound no evidence of DVT.
Musculoskeletal ultrasound left lower extremity: Intact Achilles tendon throughout, plantaris present and intact. Large hypoechoic area (8 x 2 x 5cm) located at medial aspect of proximal and middle third of calf, space typically occupied by medial gastrocnemius muscle belly. Superficial cobblestoning noted. Negative sono-palpation over hypoechoic area. Complete discontinuity of medial gastrocnemius with no intervening fibers. Lateral gastric intact.
