Radiographs of bilateral tibias and fibulas were performed and showed preservation of the knee and ankle joint spaces without any articular pathology. There was normal alignment, no periosteal elevation, and no acute fractures identified. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the bilateral lower extremities revealed bilateral Grade 2 distal medial tibial bone stress injuries based on Fredericson classification criteria.
