Other Studies: DVT US (ultrasound) legs revealed no evidence of a DVT in right and left femoropopliteal veins or in the visible portions of calf veins. Ankle-bracial index (ABI) US of LE showed right ABI in moderate range related to inflow disease above the thigh. Finally, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) angiogram, the key study, revealed complete occlusion of the right external iliac artery with reconstitution of the vessel at the right common femoral artery, and dilated epigastric vessels. Case Photo #1 Case Photo #2 Case Photo #3 Consultations: Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) was consulted when the initial diagnosis was a lumbosacral radiculopathy, and the PMR physician initiated dedicated physical therapy and gave L4/L5 epidural injection. Vascular Surgery was consulted when right external iliac artery endofibrosis was diagnosed via MRI, and they performed a right common iliac to femoral bypass grafting. Click here to continue.
