Diagnostic Foot/Ankle Ultrasound: Medial and lateral plantar fascia is noted to be normal without thickening. Inferior calcaneal nerve and medial plantar nerve visualized and shown to have surrounding edema. Maximal tenderness with sonopalpation noted along the edematous nerves.
MRI Right Ankle: Possible low grade partial longitudinal split tear of the peroneus brevis.
EMG: Electrophysiologic evidence of a right medial plantar nerve mononeuropathy.
