X-ray of the left shoulder: no acute pathology, intact glenohumeral joint
MRI of the left shoulder: Complex partial-thickness tear along the anterolateral aspect of the left pectoralis major, with propagation of the tear into the superior most portions of the tendon, and with partial tendon retraction. Extensive edema in the surrounding tissues was noted, as well as hemorrhage along the superficial portion of the anterolateral deltoid and short head of the biceps brachii. Case Photo #1
