Other Studies:
Xray hip and lumbar spine:
No acute osseous injury. Transitional lumbosacral segment with lumbarization of S1. Scalloping of the posterior aspect of the S1 through S3. Ddx: dural ectasia, neurofibromatosis, cauda equina neoplasm.
MRI lumbar spine: Findings are most suggestive of a sacral extradural arachnoid cyst, with reactive scalloping of the posterior aspect of vertebral bodies. There is extension into the right S1-S2, S2-S3, and S3-S4 foramina, resulting in ventral displacement and possible compression of the lower lumbar and sacral cauda equina and the exiting right sacral nerve roots
