Limited ultrasound examination in the office revealed a small, 5ml, of fluid in the rectus femoris.

X ray Case Photo #1 Case Photo #2 Case Photo #3 8th day post-injury. Soft tissue swelling and calcification adjacent to the femoral shaft on the right femur.

MRI of R thigh at 3 weeks post injury: Linear low T-1 signal that corresponded to the faint calcification on his previous plain radiograph. Hematoma at the site of previous injury with suspected early linear myositis type calcification.

Xray 6th week post injury Case Photo #4 : Continued development of heterotopic ossification consistent with myositis ossificans along the anterior medial aspect of the mid femur.
