Patient Presentation:
A healthy 14-year-old middle school cheerleader experienced headache, blurred vision, feeling off balance, and muffled hearing after doing a backflip during competition.

History:
She did a standing back tuck and landed the flip normally. She did not have any head trauma. Immediately after landing, she complained of an 8/10 global headache with subjective balance deficiency and vision and hearing changes. She rested from competition immediately after the flip. She was seen in the ED the night of the event.

Physical Exam:
Head was atraumatic without tenderness to palpation. She exhibited photophobia during ophthalmoscopy. Extraocuar muscles intact, Pupils equal, round and reactive to light, normal eye tracking without nystagmus. Hearing grossly intact. CN II-XII intact. Strength and sensation testing within normal limits in upper and lower extremities. Normal single leg stance with eyes closed and open, one error on each side. One error with tandem gait. Dix-Hallpike test was negative.
