Patient Presentation:
A healthy 16-year-old female presents initially with atraumatic anterior left hip pain, left thigh numbness, and a sensation of lower leg "heaviness" while running.

History:
She was a top cross county/track athlete prior to onset of her symptoms. The patient described that near the end of a 200-meter run, her left lower leg would feel "heavy" and she would develop numbness to the left lateral thigh. The symptoms otherwise do not radiate and would resolve with rest.

Physical Exam:
Patient overall appears well developed, well nourished, no obvious focal deficits or atrophy on inspection. Active and passive bilateral range of motion full with equal bilateral strength in the hip, knee and ankle. Neurological testing was also within normal limits.
Special tests: FABER, FADIR, Ober, and Thomas were negative, Stinchfield +
