Repeat radiographs of the clavicle with a serendipity view revealed subtle buckling of the right medial clavicle and a first rib fracture with callus formation.

He was referred for CT which confirmed a posterior dislocation of the SC joint with a tiny fleck of osseous density identified medial to the medial clavicle raising concern for a physeal injury.

Consultations:
Orthopedic surgery was consulted from the emergency department after the results of the CT scan were discussed with the radiologist and he was referred directly to the ED from the Sports Medicine Clinic
