Work up for coagulation defects, including factor V Leiden deficiency and von Willebrand disease were normal

Other Studies:
Chest X-Ray: No supernumerary ribs

Venous duplex ultrasound of the right upper extremity:
Non-compressibility and thrombus in the brachial vein with normal flow in all surrounding veins (Photo 1).
