Lab Studies:
CBC, ESR, CRP all within normal limits.

Other Studies:
XR left ankle- well defined circular tibial lesion with adjacent sclerosis. No acute fracture. Case Photo #1 , Case Photo #2

MRI- left tibia with large lesion including metaphysis and physis, approaching the cortex, with sclerotic margin present and minimal adjacent edema. Case Photo #3

Bone biopsy- culture grew Staph aureus.

Orthopedic surgery, infectious disease.
