Lab Studies: No laboratory studies were performed. Other Studies: The patient was unable to tolerate an electromyography/Nerve Conduction Study. X-rays of hand and wrist are unremarkable. Diagnostic ultrasound reveals a 1.5 x 1.0 x 0.8 cm volar ganglion cyst over the hook of the hamate compressing both the superficial and deep branches of the ulnar nerve.
