X-rays: Multiple views of the left ankle were negative for any gross osseous abnormalities. The ankle
mortise demonstrated an appropriate medial clear space without evidence of lateral talar shift
Case Photo #1 , Case Photo #2 , Case Photo #3 .

MRI: Imaging of the medial malleolus demonstrated acute fracture of the base of the medial malleolus
with less than 1 mm of displacement. There was also evidence of a grade 2 deltoid ligament sprain and
mild Achilles interstitial tears Case Photo #4 , Case Photo #5 .
