An educational resource of high-quality, de-identified images and videos displaying common and unique sports ultrasound pathology in case format. Anyone is welcome to submit cases. Please review the submission guidelines attached below.

Ischiofemoral Impingement
A 26-year-old female presented with right posterior hip pain for over a decade. Pain was exacerbated by exercise and sitting. Physical examination was positive for tenderness along the right posterior hip and ischial tuberosity. Ischiofemoral impingement test was positive.
 
Plantar Fasciosis
A 49-year-old female with known history of right foot plantar fasciitis presented with sharp, left heel pain after walking for an hour in boots one year prior. The pain was localized to the posterior ankle and proximal plantar aspect and is worsened with ambulation. Two previous corticosteroid injections at the plantar aspect provided no relief.
 
Right Shoulder Paralabral Cyst
A 27-year-old swimmer presented with right anterolateral shoulder pain, weakness, numbness, burning, and paresthesias radiating down the anterior upper arm and medial forearm into the fourth and fifth digits. Pain was exacerbated by shoulder extension and abduction with difficulty engaging periscapular muscles while swimming. On exam, atrophy of the infraspinatus was noted. ​
 
Bicipitoradial Bursitis
A 21-year-old competitive weightlifter presented with insidious onset of left anterolateral elbow pain for 3-weeks duration. The pain severity was rated as 2/10 at rest and increased to a 7/10 with back and biceps exercises. The pain was described as sharp and radiated to the proximal lateral forearm. On exam, elbow pain was provoked with resisted supination and flexion.
 
Partial Thickness Supraspinatus Tendon Tear
A 34-year-old right-hand-dominant male presented with 2 months of right shoulder pain exacerbated by overhead weightlifting and occasionally while sleeping at night. Physical exam was notable for pain with passive and active ROM in flexion and abduction. He had pain with empty can testing and with O-Brien's manuever. Sensation to light touch was intact throughout the C5-T1 dermatomes in the right upper extremity.
 
Biceps Tenosynovitis
A 73-year-old female presented with chronic right shoulder pain that had been worse over the prior month. Pain was located along the anterior shoulder and radiated down the arm. She woke up with bruising one week prior with no known trauma, pop, or injury that self-resolved in a couple days. She denied new weakness, numbness, tingling. Pain was worse with cooking and lifting objects overhead.
 
Anterior Tibialis Tenosynovitis
A 46-year-old male presented with 9 months of pain and swelling over the anterior aspect of the right ankle. He endorsed the pain with passive and active range of motion with tenderness to palpation over the tibiotalar joint and lateral malleolus.
 
Scapholunate Ligament Tear
A 49-year-old right-hand-dominant female presented with left dorsal wrist pain and popping after picking up heavy luggage. Exam of the left wrist was notable for tenderness over the scapholunate region and pain reproduction with wrist extension loading. Watson's (scaphoid shift) test produced pain w/o clunk.
 
Rib Fracture
A 12-year-old female soccer athlete presented for chest wall pain for the past two weeks that was acutely worse two days prior after falling to the ground. Pain was exacerbated by deep inspiration and running. Exam was notable for tenderness to palpation near the anterior 7th rib. Initial radiographs of the ribs were unremarkable.
 
Long Head Biceps Subluxation
A tennis player with worsening right shoulder pain for 3 months presented for concern of biceps tendonitis. Speed's test and Yergason's test were positive.
